69 blazer transfer case cross member question
Just out of curisoity the cross member bolts to both the top and bottom of the frame rails. It doesn't on the cross member for my late model 205 (late 70's/early 80's era). Any reaason to not modify the 69 to tie into just the bottom?

Re: 69 blazer transfer case cross member question
I busted the rivets on the two top mounts and was going to reinstall them later. It makes it much easier to install and easy mock-ups for lowering the case to line up drive shaft due to lift kits. I have seen this in later trucks and have run this way for over 8 years. No adverse affects so for except the ACCIDENT. Even in the accident the truck was totaled but nothing wrong with the member. It's now in a swb p/u and going for another 10 years....
