Harolds Half Sister

picked up a 64 suburban abandoned project from CL the other day. thought i would finally post some pics of it. solid shell came with 2 new floor pans and a drivers rear bedside. probably just end up using 1 floor pan and a rear patch panel from a parts truck. almost all of the parts are still here and it already has power steering.

hopefully going to put a 85+ motor and trans in, upgrade to 5 lug disc in the front and a 5 lug rearend, also remount the P/S with spacers instead of a stack of washers. want to lower it 3/5 or 4/6. then paint it satin 2 tone with stock wheels.

Hopefully have it done and ready to sell the first weekend of April, wish me luck.

i terrible pic of the interior and Harold in his current state of completion. He starts every time and burns the tires off, good enough for me.

Re: Harolds Half Sister

did check it out for a friend. the reason that it didn't sell on C/L was he didn't spell suburban right and it would never turn up on searches if anyone was looking for a suburban
he wouldn't send any more pictures. it did look interesting what was shown

Re: Harolds Half Sister

1/2 way through all the rust repair on the burb 2 small floor patches, 2 fender patches and 1 brace. Oh and some redneck engineering to get the good brace in the bead blaster to clean it up before i patch the outside.

Re: Harolds Half Sister

Glad to have stumbled across this at the beginning. I signed up to take a course of redneck engineering at the local college but they said I was over qualified.

Re: Harolds Half Sister

finally getting back to the burb. finished body work on front fenders. bolted in 84 disc brakes and power steering box, 3" drop springs, along with upper and lower control arms. i usually just swap the whole cradle but i figured this way might be easier. it turned out to be more tedious and time consuming expecially when done by yourself.

Re: Harolds Half Sister

now im looking for 5" rear drop springs heavy enough for a burb. i see the Truck Shop has heavy duty 4" springs but i really dont want the raked look and i dont wanna invest in drop blocks on top of the springs.
