What's this frame bracket for?
Hello all,
1971 305/th350 shortbed. This bracket mounts on the drivers side frame rail about half way betweem the tranny and trailing arm crossmembers. What's it for? Thanks, Keith

Maybe for the emergency brake cable hanger.

Re: What's this frame bracket for?
Not for the e-brake.
Both sides were held with wire hooks right through the frame. I was thinking exhaust, but didn't know which side the original ran down. Truck had headers and duals when I got it, and this bracket was unused. I'm sandblasting a bunch of small parts, and didn't want to pitch this without knowing its purpose. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: What's this frame bracket for?
That picture is exactly it. So exhaust it is.
I did notice on your '69 the rivets are in front of the bracket, and on my '71 they are behind. Thanks guys. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: What's this frame bracket for?
Looks to me like your rivets would be in front also. You are holding the hanger upside down in your 1st picture.
