BBC Decoding HELP!!
I have been trying to nail down the details on my motor. From what I know its a 454 on the passenger side below the head is T 053TDJ. From the T i know it came from the Tonawanda plant. Any other help would be very much appreciated. The block has no port for a manual fuel pump if that makes any difference. I've already tried the "guru" sites and came up with squat. Thank You.

Re: BBC Decoding HELP!!
Thanks So much. THat was what I was looking for. The heads have been changed and so was the cam. The motor has quite the story behind it. My dads best friend gave him a suburban for us helping him fix another truck that he used for work. I had just finished my truck with the 350 in it and a buddy offers me an almost complete 74 nova that i could build a racer into. Bought the motor and Th400 from my dad. Now to the story. The motor isn't the original to the burb. The guys wife had the burb in Vegas visiting her sister for spring break with the kids and the original motor blew up. The sister had a boyfriend that built cars and he loved the sister so much that he put a new motor in the burb while they were there at no cost. The motor he had just finished building and didn't have a car for it yet. Since then it only has about 20,000 miles on it cause the front end of the burb was shot. Now I have the big block in my gray c10 finally hooked up with a freshly rebuilt 400 behind it. Only ran it up and down the street a couple of times but it has a ton of power. I plan on looking into a posi or atleast limited slip and run the hell out of it. Any Input is much appreciated. I am also going to swap the leafs for trailing arm set up once i find a donor trailer. I have an edelbrock air gap that i need to put on too.
