15x8 and 15x10 Backspacing
Looking at a set of Front 15x8 and Rear 15x10 wheels...
http://www.buywheelstoday.com/produc...tte+Black).bwt The thing I am worried about and a rookie with is, backspacing, the specs for the backspacing on the wheels are -19 for the front and -43 for the rear. Truck will have a static 3.5/5 drop. As for tire sizes, any suggestions would be appreciated. Biggest question is will these fit?

With one exception.....yours is a '72, while mine is a '69. There is about an inch more rear axle width on yours, than mine. That being said, I bought Wheel Vintiques Vette-style rally wheels that are the sizes you want. For the front wheels, I went with a 4-inch backspace. Out back I used a 5-inch backspace. I never had any contact with the fenders on front or rear, and I have a 2 1/2 drop up front and a 4-inch drop out back. For tires, I used 245-60's on the 8's and 275-60's on the 10's. Here's pics the last day it was assembled, looking down the side and from the side.

Front - 7.5 inches of front spacing Rear - 1.7 inches of front spacing Is this right and will this look funny?

I don't understand where you got your numbers. If you go to www.wheelvintiques.com, you can look at wheels and see what they offer. When I stated the amount of backspace on the wheels I cited, I'm not sure if you understood. Backspacing and off-set are not the same thing, although there could be some comparisons made. Backspace is what I like to deal with, as a specification. Off-set is what I am faced with on FWD, like my wifes car.
The purpose of the backspace specification is to be able to center the wheel in the wheel opening, laterally, not lengthwise. For me, that meant that the 10-inch wide rear wheel, with its' 5-inch backspace, put the hub of the wheel in the center. I reckon that would be a zero off-set, huh? Ditto for the front wheels. In your case, with the rear end about an inch wider than mine, I don't think that the 1/2-inch wider per side would be a detriment. Hopefully, someone with your situation will chime in and give you the answer you want to hear. But, when I went to the website you linked-in, I saw that they don't even list the year of our trucks. I think you'd be better off contacting them, as they suggest. It's possible that those wheels are not quite compatible, but I'm no expert on those wheels.

I think my comment of 'above mentioned wheels' was misconstrued. I meant the wheels that were mentioned in my original post.
So for me, this means that the 10 inch wide rear wheel with the 0.5 inch backspace, puts the hub more towards the inner part of the wheel. Same concept for the front. My question is that with that little of backspacing on the wheels that I am looking to obtain, would it look right or am i going to poke out like a 89 caprice on daytons(lowrider)...

One of the things not mentioned yet with your wheels is the newer vehicles have a smaller diameter center hub (hole). In order for them to clear the hub on your truck you would need to run spacers or get the wheels center hole machined/bored out.
On the backspacing if my math and millimeter to inches math is current then your wheels would probably read like this. 10" wide wheel and the back spacing would be about 3.3" (more wheel to the outside of the hub) 8" wide wheel would be about 3.25" back spacing On both wheels you would have less rim going inward and more on the outside of the hub. I am not an expert on lowered vehicles, but your drop and those offsets look to me like they might rub the fenders a good bit.
