frame splicing
Ive got a 66 c10 1/2 ton with the 6 lug suspension and i believe i have a bent frame :/ .......anywaysssss im not too bummed, Ill be doing a z and a lot of frame work. My question is which frame is the same dimensions as mine? I plan on buying a parts truck with a v8 and auto trans with ps pb and a few other goodies and i figured i can splice the section of the frame with the engine crossmember too and use the arms and spindles. Will a 80's suburban frame work? c10? c20?
Thanks in advance! |

Re: frame splicing
For the most part, the dimensions of the front half of the frame are the same all the way to 91 on the Burbs. Trucks ended with the model change in 87. To clarify, the front suspension will swap from on to another. The frame itself will be different dues to mounting points. etc.
