Widest wheel/tire combo 70 stepper ??

I know I'm probly whipping a dead horse here but I can't seem to find my answer doing a search. Anyhow..

I have a 1970 stepper with stock rear suspension and would like to know what is the widest rear wheel and tire combo I can use without having problems. Thanks in advance for any help.

Do you care if the wheel hangs outside the fender?
How much is the suspension lowered.
Which rearend?
Wide 70 rearend?
Narrow 70 rearend?
Is the bed tubbed?
Stock?

We need a little more info please.

Wheel can hang outside fender.
Not sure what you mean about wide/narrow rear.
It's a 12 bolt with 3.73 gears.
Bed is not tubbed. Stock.
Just lookin to put on the widest tire without tubbing. Thanks.

"70 was a split year.
Early '70-6 lug narrow
late '70-5 lug wide.
Also alot will depend on the wheel you'd like to run as offset will play a big part in where the tire will sit.

It's a 5 lug wide. Would also like to get whatever wheel that will allow
for the widest tire.

I also have a wide 5 lug
I tried a 15x10 with 3 1/4 bs and a 12 in. wide tire.
it was too wide by about 1/2 inch (to the outside) and was going to hit the fender.
Your ww radius is bigger,so it would probably work and with more backspace you could probably go wider.
