Cherokee/Mopar Fan motor Experts....
I am looking at an electric fan for my truck. I can get the stock one with just on or off. Or there is the fan for the Tow Package... It has 3 prongs I am assuming a 2 speed fan.
Can I just skip the one speed and send the power straight to the high setting? Or will I have to settle for the lower RPM/CFM set up? I like the fit, but when I called about the fan from the dealer they said $268.00 so now I am at Checjer looking at a fan for $80.00...

Re: Cherokee/Mopar Fan motor Experts....
I bought two of these fans both with just two wires.
The first one I bought several years ago kicks on and is very fast. It blows a 30amp circuit breaker half of the time. The second one I bought earlier this year turns on and is very slow. It doesn't blow a 30amp circuit breaker or fuse when it turns on. It is VERY SLOW and, although I don't have a cooling problem, I wish it functioned like the first one. I'm not sure what the difference is. Was the motor changed? Is the second the "fix" from Mopar? Did I wire it wrong? (I don't think so.) Each cost me about $70 online...
