Door Check Pin
New to the group. Just picked up a 64 step side and starting to repair some bad rockers - taking the doors off and have always just drilled out these pins and replaced them with a small bolt in the past - curious as to whether there is a method to removing these successfully or where I might be able to get new ones if I have to drill them out. Thanks in advance

Re: Door Check Pin
they drive out from the bottom up. they are roll pins
they may be rusted in.remember to support the top from the hit from below to prevent bending up ron |

Re: Door Check Pin
Soak them good. Then like padresag said hammer out bottom up Use a nice fairly heavy bucking bar so you don't bent the bracket

If you're replacing them, you might like this article on how to incorporate stops like modern car doors.

Re: Door Check Pin
Thanks guys... a little WD40 and some love and she came right out - thanks for the insight I feel a little stupid given how easily they came out.
