Looking at how high it is, I would build it up with pallets or wood on either side, jack it a little higher and then roll the frame out from under it.Either by airing out the tires or removing them and putting the drums on carts. Then you can slowly remove the blocking a little at a time. If you lift it thorough the cab with a tractor make sure you use a spreader bar so the straps don't roll over the roof. This cab got cut up so I wasn't worried about it but it rolled the drip rails up.

ive nailed [2] 2x8s togeather ,wrapped them in carpet, large eye bolts on each side and lift at the door openings.doors off or open.just remember to have a helper up front as the cab is front heavy, your seat weight will offset it somewhat, and keep your 2x8s as forward as possable. i used a forklift.

Re: Pulling cab tomorrow how did you lift yours off want suggestions please
well the problem with just building it up is I need to move the cab into my other barn to get out of the way the frame is gonna go get shortened to shortbed length and possibly have blasted and painted not sure on that part yet So I need it out of my way for a good while month or so plus I got to split one of our feed tractors to fix clutch so gonna need my shop back when you did the 2x8 did you run them clear thru the cab? I took the cab off of a 87 chevy pickup the other day but didnt care the outcome of it but we just ran 2 3" straps thru the cab and then closed the doors lifted it up with skid loader and moved it didnt hurt a thing I just dont want to bend up my cab is my biggest deal never took one off I ever cared this much about non were in good shape as this plus if I use my tractor and leave the bale spear on it has 2 spears about 2' apart so it will spread some of the weight out and it wont just be lifting in the center

I also have an extra set of top door hinges I drilled a hole through and put a shackle on them. I run a strap through it and the door striker and it lifts real nice with one on each side, if your bale spear is long enough to catch the opposite side then I would do that.

Yes 2x8s all the way through the cab, eyebolts about 5 inches out.if your gonna use straps dont close the doors .it will bow out you doortops and you wont get a good weatherseal.

I used my engine lift with the boom all the way out.found a nice strong 4by 6 and laid across the top of the lift and strapped it down. slid the lift inside the cab and lifted it off. depending on how stripped out the cab is will determine where to place the crossing piece of wood.

Re: Pulling cab tomorrow how did you lift yours off want suggestions please
When I lifted mine, I first removed the doors. Then I had built a framework out of 2 X 4's and 2 X 6's braced up and down and front to back. (It fit tight in the door opening to prevent sliding.) I had also used a layer of carpet padding where the framework touched the cab. I then attached chains from this to my chain hoist, being careful to make sure the cab was balanced. I lifted it about a foot of the chassis and then rolled the chassis out from under it. I then had a dolly built with large wheels to sit it on. I was able to roll it around the shop as I needed.
