Please advise estimate ball park price...from what you see.

These trucks are only worth what someone is willing to pay for it and rarely what the owner has invested. I'd start at 12k and end at 14K if the underside looks as good as the top and the front end graft is done properly.

It's good to see that you made it over here. If the work on the chassis looks as good as the truck does on top I'd think 10/11K and go have fun with it would work.

Some things might not appeal to everyone but it's still a good looking truck. It sure looks like one you could jump in and make a 500 mile road trip in and not think twice about it. It might be a bit hard to flip in a year or so though if that's the plan.

77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Hey Jim 11.5K seems like a good deal just make sure the floors are solid and cab corners. Is the chassis nice and is the front end grafted good . And is it a running driving truck? if so seems like a good deal but that's without seeing the truck in person
Good luck

Jim, I would love to help you out on what is a good price for that truck would be. but different areas of the world have different prices. for example up here in alberta that truck would be close to 25K if it looks as good as in the pictures as in person.
there was a guy selling a started project about a month ago for $9500 and it looked like needed a easy 400-500 hours of work still.

But $11.5 looks like a good price to me. and really the price of the truck is only good if you think its good. and don't let anyone else tell you other wise.

Im on the other side of the world so cant comment on fair value, but I would respectfully suggest that you dont get too excited till you have driven it.

The pictures indicate that its been thru a major rebuild sometime in its life, and it looks to have been well looked after. The colour is "dated" and a bit 1990s street rodder-ish but that can be fixed with more money. Even if you just get it all one colour, it will make it look more contemporary.

Old trucks dont have to ride like old trucks, especially if they have undergone a suspension transplant, so you should expect it to ride nice. Dont compromise on the purchase, - if it doesnt ride nicely then adjust the price accordingly or walk away if the vendor isnt negotiable.

It looks like a nice, but slightly out of date truck. But if the style appeals to you then please feel free to ignore my thoughts.

My thoughts: By Nova front clip, do you mean Nova subframe? If so, what year – big difference – front steer/rear steer and track width. I like the later years, like a ’79. Take a look at the welding done to attach the subframe, should be below the firewall. GM disc brakes (my preference) or aftermarket Chinese crap? Power steering I presume. See how well the column is mounted. Take it for a ride and go over some bumps to see how the ball joints and tie rods are. What rear end? How’s it mounted – original leaf springs? Orig rear leafs are o.k. with new eye bushings. Gas tank is probably under the rear – what kind of tank and what capacity. If everything checks out o.k. 12k is a bargain.

IMO, kind of an ugly truck, especially the interior, and I like bumpers on my trucks. I’d sell the Air Rite (Ride?) kit.

Jim - Not a bad looking truck. I would say it was probably built in the 80's, guessing by the tweed interior. I would ask if it is all steel bodied, looks like maybe the running boards are glass. The bed is from a 1954, little deeper than 47-53, not a big deal. I would also want to know what rear end gear, much more than 3.73 with that trans and it wont like the freeway. Otherwise if you like the truck, 10-12 is a fair price. Couldnt build one like it for under 25, I dont care what part of the world your in. Sean

11.5 seems like a good deal if there is no rust. The front clip, engine and additional improvements could cost 10 grand by themselves. If the underneath shows looks clean and tight, you got a good truck. It would sell easily on the west coast for that price.

Re: 1947 Chevrolet 3100 Looking to buy Please Help

I had an opportunity to view this truck today.

I want to thank you all for your advise and guidance. I all I have to say is "Bubble Gum and Chicken Wire" The attention to detail was no where to found.

If you stood back at 20' to 30' the truck looked maybe a 7....any closer it was a mess.

My search continues.
