BBC clearance issues when using No Limit bolt in rack?
So, I don't have any pictures with me at the moment, but have a question.
Short and sweet version: 1967 SWB C10 Frame + 1972 BBC motor mounts + No Limit power rack and pinion = Firewall clearance issues? I'll explain in a little better detail: I bought and installed the No Limit engineering power rack and pinion. Part of the instructions are to move the motor mount towers to the rearmost boltholes on the frame so as to provide a space for the steering shaft universal joint for the rack. (For those of you that don't know, the No Limit rack installation has you drill a 7/8" hole roughly where the first bolthole for the frame towers mount.) I should be picking up my 396 from the builder and will be attempting to install it onto my rolling chassis this coming weekend. Is it likely that I will have issues with firewall clearance? |
