How can I get a temp. gauge?
My truck's dash is sorely lacking in instrumentation. I have a speedometer, fuel gauge, an idiot light marked generator and an idiot light marked oil pressure. What I would like is at least a temp. gauge, maybe even oil pressure and volts. The fuel gauge is quite large and looks like could have extra marks in it. Did some of the nicer trucks have a combination type gauge instead of just a large fuel gauge? If I can get a factory temp gauge what am I looking for? I know the engine already has a temp. sensor on it but it isn't wired to anything.

You can probably find a nice full gauge cluster for sale on the parts board here.

Re: How can I get a temp. gauge?
You could get the full cluster off the boad more than likely but you will need to change the wiring harness to make it all work. The connector on the back of the dash has to be redone because some of the wires are in differant spots in the connector.
Here is a link for you. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ad.php?t=18867 If you want aftermarket's you could use the little three guage cluster sold at most part stores. They come with everything you need. Cut the dash and mount them in the bottom are use the mount they come with.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

Re: How can I get a temp. gauge?
That temp sensor goes to a light marked "temp" in the lower corner ogf the gas gauge.
