Just a mild bag job in Texas
I finally got to bag my 66. This find was my backdoor neighbor's. He knew I am a VW gearhead. So one day he asked if I was ever gonna start any other project. Well to make it short, I bought this 66 from him. I knew what I wanted to do with it as soon as it was mine, bags. After doing a lot of research on this generous site, it helped me guide to what I planned.
I tried taking many pics but them damm cameras take a lot of your time. So please bare with what I show. Special Thanks to Travis @ Pro Performance, Porterbuilt Street Rods, and Dino for the inspiration (one day I'll be like the Dinos, the Delmos, and the C/10 Kings). Thanks again guys.

Re: Just a mild bag job in Texas
For some reason my suspension pics were too damm blurry that I could not post, really sorry.
This kit I ordered from Travis @ ProPerformance is Porterbuilt Stage 1 front kit, Stage 2 basic kit. Air management is 1/4" manual paddle valves. Mc Gaughys disc brake kit with lowered spindles and booster/master cylinder...very satisfied customer. Wheels are steel smoothies, rings and caps from Wheel Vintiques. Tires are 205/75 15's from Diamond Back Classic Radials.

Hey Jerry,
The truck looks killer and really like the patina! Hope you are enjoying the new suspension. Do you mind if I use some of these images for our gallery? - Travis |

Re: Just a mild bag job in Texas
Bad A$$ Jerry. Might be a little too late but I bought my steel smoothies (Wheel Vintiques) for my trokita from Summit. Way cheaper and the shipping will not kill you...Anyways we need to get together one of these days for a cruise...Oh Im also a VW gear head...

Re: Just a mild bag job in Texas
That truck is just so right.
Love the color, patina and look you have created. Do you have any photos of the truck with the Beetles parked next to it ?
