nv4500 4x4

I have a nv4500 for a 4x4 with chevy bellhousing and a flywheel from a 6.5 diesel. I have never had it in a running vehicle to test it but it shifts and turns smooth by hand. This is the older model with the lower first gear and external slave cylinder. I am open to offers and willing to deliver within 4 hours drive from syracuse NY for the price of gas. I do not want to ship this right now. asking $850

thanks, jason

Re: nv4500 4x4

Heres a bump for you. I had a 93 GMC K2500 with this same trans.that 1st gear would pull down a house! I understand they used a version of these behind the Cummins 5.9 engines, so strength isn't an issue. Only issue with these is to be sure to run the (expensive) synthetic fluid. They say any thing else will burn up the trans.

Re: nv4500 4x4

that is why i am selling this one. I got a decent deal on a cummins and to put this trans behind a cummins would require changing the gears inside, some machining, and replacing the input shaft. I found a dodge nv4500 so i'm selling this one.
