Defrost lever is super hard

JUST INSTALLED MY CONTROLS and the defrost lever is super hard,, no wonder these things break .. what can i do ... do i need a brand new cable no matter wich way i rout it its realy hard to move. but the cable moves pretty free in my hand. and the flapper does as well

Thats the cable thats steel wound covered, try some spray graphite.

i spraed some liquid wrench and like i said if i disconect it it moves freely as well as the other components. whick leads me to believe its my routing or maybe a wrong cable

Stop using it until you get it figured out. The levers are made of pot metal and they break really easily. Take the cable off and clean it and lube it. Once you're sure it's moving freely, put it back in and try it.

yup already tried that maybe i need a longer cable

liquid wrench isn't what you need, graphite will stick around and make it slide free if thats the problem. great for metal to metal and long lasting.

Make sure the cable is adjusted correctly. I know when I reinstalled mine, they were real stiff until I got them adjusted.
