Re: Steering box brace?
You might check with OrrieG's build. He has a neat way that he installed his gear. I just bolted mine to the frame with a little extra metal to thicken the frame so to speak. If I'm not answering your question, what are you trying to do? And pics are always nice; )

Re: Steering box brace?
Yah I've seen Orries I'm boxing the whole frame but where the last guy bolted the box he totally butchered the frame so I was hoping someone had a template for possibly the outside and the inside of the frame so I can build up both sides of the frame for strength before I box it up

Re: Steering box brace?
yah ill take some pics tomorrow im gonna plug weld the metal through the holes to the backside of the frame the template for the rear is pretty easy to make up outta cardboard really. The one template that would be awesome is the saginaw 2wd box template to weld on the outside of the frame.

Re: Steering box brace?
Hm, that doesn't look too bad. So you want to go with the Saginaw gear? Have you explored every option for steering? Are you replacing your steering column too? Are you replacing springs too?

Re: Steering box brace?
yes im putting a 2wd saginaw box thats ported for hydro assist , my truck is a 4x4 and im building a custom 3 link front suspension front and 4 link rear with coilovers fromt and back so i think im just gonna plate the inside of the frame and build a custom bracket and get it plasma table cut for me.
