Rear end drop!
Hey guys I am planning on lowering my truck but I just wanted to know what's the biggest rear end drop that I can do with lowering springs and shocks without having to c-notch my frame?

How far is it from the top of your axle to the bottom of the frame?....... That much, if you cut the bumpstops.
I've got 6" lowering springs on mine, it bottoms out a lot, especailly when hauling or towing. It hasn't bothered me enough to break out the welder yet. People that sell the cnotch kits say 3"... I guess that's what id say if I was selling cnotch kits also. If you want to maintain stock suspension travel you have to notch as much as you lower even if its just 1". I have only used Early Classic Enterprises rear drop springs on my trucks. But all of them were 6 inch drop and I never felt the need to notch the frames. They only bottomed out occasionally and no where near often enough to annoy me.
