1972 K5 Blazer
Hello guys,
I mostly spend my time on the trucks section of the site but I have recently came across what appears to be a 72 K5 blazer. I am wanting to know what you guys think about it and what it might be worth. I posted a thread on the 67-72 trucks board without thinking. The thread title is "you never know". I have never really considered buying a blazer before but it would hold my family unlike a truck so I am strongly considering it. I have the pics I took of it and could probably get more if needed. Thanks in advance. |

Re: 1972 K5 Blazer
I saw your post when you first put it up. I love Blazers, but I personally wouldn't want to tackle that much rust. I'm not saying it can't be done, because I've seen guys on this board do some pretty amazing things with what I considered to be unsalvageable rust buckets. But that one would be beyond my skills and interest.
On the other hand, I love my Blazer. I've owned a lot of Chevy/GMC trucks, including the 64 Chevy I was driving when I met my wife almost 30 years ago. In that time I've had a 66 GMC (305V6 - a great engine), a 68, a 70, a 72, a 74 and a 76, as well as some newer ones and even an S-10. Nothing has come close to being as fun as the Blazer. I put a 60/40 split bench in the front, so we can put 6 people in seat belts. Going for a ride in the summertime with the top off is one of my family's favorite activities. |
