V8 Engine Code??
I looked at the pad that is just in front of the passenger side cylinder head and it had the follow code stamped on it:
K04 01U5 Could someone please help me decode this? The decoding site that I went to didn't have any codes that looked like this. Thanks. duckdown |

I don't know much about engine decoding, but if I were you, I'd look right on the block behind the drivers side head, and there is a number there. Go to www.mortec.com and you can identify your engine.
Sorry I can't help you much

Blue71, I thought the same thing, but it is definitely a 5. I even went back out to the garage to double check. I'm stumped.
