Remote Power Door Lock Kit specifically designed for the 1979-1987 Chevrolet & GMC Trucks. This is NOT a universal kit, and comes with complete application specific directions. This kit comes completely wired, so no guess work for you! The only wires that you are required to hook up, is the 12V+ and ground wires. There are 2 input wires into the Receiver/Control module to allow you to add a inside power door lock switch if you so desire.

Is this for trucks without power door locks currently? Or are the actuators meant to replace the factory ones? I have an '87 with power door locks, and would like to add a controller and key fob. Thanks!

Hi,
It is made to replace your current power locks, the actuators bolt into the original 2 bolt holes your current factory actuators are bolted into.

Or if there are no factory power locks, this kit includes everything needed to add power door locks. The mounting plate for the actuator mounts in the 2 holes that are in the door from the factory, so no drilling is necessary.

So if you decide to order let us know you have factory door locks, as the original factory locking rod is a little differant.

Six month warranty to the orginal buyer, does not cover remote battery.

I assume your mean shaved door handles. The remote door lock will not work to make your shaved door handles unlatch.

But we can build you a unit that will remotely unlatch your doors,if you have any interest just let us know.
