May I please have empty engine bay pics?

I am looking to replace the Olds engine in my truck with a small block Chevy. The engine is getting tired and it will now cost a small fortune to rebuild it.

I am looking for EMPTY engine bay pictures so I can see what all I need to acquire to get the Chevy motor back in. AND what are the differences between big and small block mounting and are they interchangable?

I appreciage all help, comments and suggesgtions provided.

Wow over 100 views and no replies.

What I would like to see please are the mounting brackets that are on the frame that the motor mounts sit on.....

I have heard that the 71-72 are different than 70...

Re: May I please have empty engine bay pics?

I guess not too many owners think about taking a picture of their empty engine bay -me included. And I've had the engine out of my 68 GMC and 69 Chevy couple of times.

Yeah 68gmsee, I understand. I am also terrible at documentation of what I do. I have to get my wife's camera to take pics. And I'd better not get it dirty. I have tried to be more dilligent in taking pics of late.

Thanks for the input.

Re: May I please have empty engine bay pics?

This is what I have right now. I can take more detailed pics tonight if you'd like. The inner fenders are off of it now, as well as the steering gearbox and brake booster. If you need closeup detail of anything, let me know.

The vehicle is a 1972 Blazer 4wd. The engine that came out if it was a 350.

Re: May I please have empty engine bay pics?

Thanks truckster!! Just what I needed! It looks like there is a cradle crossmeber that runs from one side of the frame to the other. I hope 2wd are the same. NOW I have to find one.

Re: May I please have empty engine bay pics?

Thanks Dan!

I was searching for "mounts" or "mounting" not stands. Now I know what to call them and look for.....
