backspace

The correct backspace is 4.5". Put a board across the rim (backside) measure to the hub. I've seen some 4.25" backspaced rims installed and they worked, any less and a lot of the tire will be sticking outside the fender and may wear out your wheel bearings. Much more than 4.5" and your tire may rub at full lock. I have 8" wide rims, they fit fine. I have a friend with 10" rims - he likes them. You'd better have power steering with those wide rims. Good luck, Scott
