T56 swap in my RCSB

the truck will have a nice built 6.0 but i want a T56 or 6speed in the truck. anyone done this or know what all is needed to do the swap? i know pedals but my main concern is the shifter location.

Shifter location for a t56 will depend on 2 things:
-what model t56 (fbody/GTO, viper, cobra, aftermarket etc)
-are you keeping the bench seats or not

With an fbody/GTO trans, your options are either run bucket seats or install keisler's forward shift kit that moves the shifter to the forward inspection plate. You can swap an LS fbody input shaft and front plate into a viper or cobra t56 and the shifter will be in the same location as a passenger car muncie/T10 would be, which will work with a bench but just barely. The aftermarket t56's (like a magnum) will have multiple shifter locations you can pick from.

This is my 85 C10 T56 from 97 Camaro LT1 shifter location.
