Started Repainting My Hub Caps!!

My steelies are off getting powder coated black. I started working on my hub caps this weekend. I scrubbed them all down with very fine steel wool and used some brake cleaner to get any grease or wax off. I first repainted the black with Rustoleum Semi-Flat. Then painted the Chevy emblem with Krylon blue. They turned out awesome. Can't wait to get them on the steelies, mount new tires, and get them on the truck!!

Nice work. What are they getting to powder coat wheels in your neck of the woods?

Re: Started Repainting My Hub Caps!!

Thanks guys!! They are all done except the blue emblem on three of them. The place I took them to is charging $65 a wheel which includes blasting and coating. I thought that was pretty good...

I went to Northwest Powdercoating & Sandblasting. They are at 1400 S 192nd, SeaTac just south of the airport. 206-241-1614 They were recommended by someone I know because they had work done by them before and said everything turned out awesome.

And a side note. They guy even recommended a cheaper place but stated the quality wouldn't be as good. I told him thanks but I would rather pay extra for quality powder coating. I've heard enough horror stories about cheap places. That meant a lot to me when he could have taken the chance to lose business and say that....... Means a lot in my book. Would rather pay extra for a business like that.
