Cheap Front End Rebuild Kit
So I found this front end rebuild kit and was wondering what anyones suggestions were? I want to keep it as cheap as possible and this is by far the cheapest kit I have found to date. http://stores.a-resto-parts.com/-str...END/Detail.bok

Moog or TRW parts for suspension. Cheeper wears out a bunch faster.

Re: Cheap Front End Rebuild Kit
You really want to use the cheapest parts possible on something as critical as suspension/steering?

Re: Cheap Front End Rebuild Kit
This is what cheap does. I made this mistake on tie rod ends, now I'm waiting in more parts. Do it right the first time if your wallet will allow it.

Something else to consider: who do you contact if you have a problem? What is the warranty? Do they offer labor reimbursement in case of failure? Buying cheap two or three times, doesn't make it a very good deal in the long run. |

Tincan, my thoughts exactly! I paid over $100 for a driver's side lower ball joint maybe 2 years ago. Performance Online now has the same part for $39.99. Gotta wonder though..

RockAuto has Moog's Problem solver line for $13, am I reading that wrong?

Re: Cheap Front End Rebuild Kit
There's a huge differnce in the 60-62 lower ball joints with torsion bar, and the '64-66 front ends.

Alright thanks everyone. I sort of figured that was the case I just wanted to double check.
