Re: craigslist MO Firetruck NOT MINE
There was a 67 GMC a few years ago from IL that was a brush truck that had 22,000 original miles on Ebay that sold for less than 7 grand. Everything but the battery, plugs and tires was original from when the truck was setup as brush truck. With all documents for all maintenance. Every bit as nice as this one.

Re: craigslist MO Firetruck NOT MINE
I have been watching this truck on and off for about 8 months. It has been on CL forever. I love it but I keep telling myself, if it were as good as it looks in the pics, then it wouldn't still be around.

Love it. This came to mind except they had a Dodge.

Re: craigslist MO Firetruck NOT MINE
Wow a 6 and an auto. Just like my dad had on his 69 C10. Don't see that very often. Most guys who went for the 6 did 3OTT.

Re: craigslist MO Firetruck NOT MINE
not sure why you always need to berate people for moving their gas tanks. think what you want. but gas is explosive and having it in the cab is just a little to close for some of us.
I guess with 20 THOUSAND posts you have to have some filler in there. |

Re: craigslist MO Firetruck NOT MINE
I would sell my firstborn for that truck. And I don't care where the gas tank is located; if I ever get hit hard enough to make the tank explode, I'll already have gone through the windshield anyway.

Re: craigslist MO Firetruck NOT MINE
i have a bigger fear of a roll over and having that thing slowly drip on you while you are trapped. i doubt they blow in a crash.

Re: craigslist MO Firetruck NOT MINE
Live and let live - seems the only thing that unites all of us on this forum is our love of the model year and make. I like 'em stock, other guys like to chop, drop, shave, bag, tub, slam, whatever. Some like their tanks behind the seat, others under the bed, others where the sun don't shine...it's all good.

Re: craigslist MO Firetruck NOT MINE
I would have to take that bed off and stick it in my barn under a tarp and put a nice shinny aluminum flat bed on it, only thing I would do besides drive it and smile.
