upper rear shock re locator bracket
I got my kit and the instructions are lets say less than adequate. Do I just guess where to mount the top bracket or is it a certain distance from the side rails? In the pic do I put the brackets where the arrow points or is that where the old brackets originally are? It seems to me the shocks would have to be moved out to be in the right position with a lowered truck.

Re: upper rear shock re locator bracket
Yea the relocation brackets are supposed to bolt into the original holes that held the (riveted) factory brackets.

Re: upper rear shock re locator bracket
The reason I asked is they look just like No Limit engineering, maybe made thru them and sold by POL, I`ve seen their brackets and don`t care for them much, its like they didn`t put a lot of thought in them...just my personal observations...

Don't discount the Porterbuilt products. They're not just for bagged trucks. Their work on the extreme trucks really has resulted in some great products for us mild mod guys.
Excellent prices and customer service as well!

Re: upper rear shock re locator bracket
I used Early Classic, and their kit was outstanding. Good people to deal with, too.

Re: upper rear shock re locator bracket
I've used Early Classic kit a good number of times too. Impeccable quality. I can't compare price against other kits though. I started buying from ECE way back when they were the only folks who made this stuff and been so pleased that I have never felt the need to go elsewhere on all the builds since then.

Re: upper rear shock re locator bracket
Would there be a reason for me to install a shock relocation kit on a stock height truck? I have heard about the kit a little, and see that most guys are installing them on a lowered truck. I'm probably going to be installing my new rear shock this week, which got me thinking about it.
