How many are left?

Using Redbook as a guide C-10's 166,000 67's, 204,000 68's, 268,000 69's, 235,000 70's, 206,000 71's, 273,000 72's. Were approximate production numbers. That is a lot of 1/2 T trucks. No one knows how many are still alive today. Taking a wild guess you think 1/2 of them are still around today? Or is that too high?

Re: How many are left?

Those numbers are way too low. Actually... looking at your #'s... those appear to be the approximate production numbers for the 8' fleetside C10's for their respective years. Check this out:

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=104816

And that's only chevrolet. GMC numbers were lost in a plant fire or something...

I added them all up one time... I think there was 2.5+ million 67-72 Chevrolets and whatever GMC made? So probably over 3 million trucks.

Wow, that's 1,352,000 trucks...even if only 1/4 of them are still out there, that's still a lot of trucks!

Re: How many are left?

Looks like the rarest of them all is the long bed stepside 4x4. Not many of them out there I bet. Does anyone here have one?

Re: How many are left?

That's a lot of trucks. I bet a lot of em died in cash for clunkers. Are the production numbers listed anywhere? Heritage center? Didn't know about the GMC fire is that true? I would bet somewhere at GM there's archives waiting to be unboxed. I would like to know the numbers for k20 trucks starting in 64 ending in 72. In fact k20 panels and burbs. Does anybody know of a link where all this info is compiled?
