New Steering Column on my 71 HUGE DIFFERENCE!!

I just installed a chrome tilt steering column on my 71 c10 and let me tell you it makes a world of a difference, it gave me about 6 inches of clearance from the orginal and the tilt makes it a lot nicer and way more confortable to drive, the chrome gives it a very nice look so thats another plus

A company from Virginia called JL Fabrications, I bought it through ebay for $350 shipped, I was looking at the ididit columns but they were a little pricey, not the same brand but it looks just as pretty I think.

Yea, mine wasn't cheap but by the way yours looks, I think you got the better of the deal. The tilt and blinker levers on yours look sturdier.

Yeah the tilt and blinker levers are very sturdy I was expecting them to feel cheap and flimsey

It's the same size as stock but you can slide it back and forth depending on what's comfy for you and its very easy to install. I'm not sure about other finishes but give them a call I gave the link above

When I ordered the column they told me that the stock parts would work with some modifications, when I took the old column off and started to install the new one I quickly realized that it wold be a lot easier to just spend the extra $$ and order the kit. Apparently different years are a little different on my 71 all I needed was the DD joint connected to a 36 spline female inlet so all I had to spend was an extra $40
