what kind of glue do I use for the weather stripping??
is there a special glue to use for the weather stripping on the cab on the inside of the door, my truck appears to have been glued at some point, the stripping looks good its just that the glue that was used seems like it gave out. Is there a special glue or can I just use gorilla glue??

Get some weather stripping glue, its at any auto parts store. Thats what its called. I just did this actually. Kinda a pain to hold it in place, but the glue is strong as heck

3M and Permatex both make weatherstrip adhesive, and both are good.
There are two kinds; one is yellowish and the other is black. I always use the black. |

Re: what kind of glue do I use for the weather stripping??
Ive been using the "3m weatherstrip adhesive" in the red and white tube for years and boy is it sticky. If you put on a bead, press it down then pull it back up for just 1 minute it will double stick. I can promise you it will stick, I use the yellow, but the black from above may work just as well!!

Re: what kind of glue do I use for the weather stripping??
May be obvious but it hasn't been said, don't put all the adhesive on at once. Do a couple of feet, stick in the weather stripping, add more glue, then more strip, keep repeating. I went all the way around my trunk with glue and by the time I started to install the weather stripping, it was so gummy I couldn't even force it all the way down in the weather stripping channel. I had a helluva mess

Another item to use as a clamp on weather door strips installation...Clothes pins believe you can still get them at the Dollar type stores.
