I ran them in my 65 VW but haven't put them in a v8. They ran well in the VW as it was notorious for fouling plugs and never had an issue after the swap.

I had a 2054cc stroker in my vw so it liked lots of fuel but also needed a hot spark to burn it all. The E3 did that.

Been running them for the full 1000 miles I have on mine now. They seem to burn well no flaws to date and thats after doing several Dyno pulls to tune and test performance and driving everyday the sun shines. I get up towards 5500rpm often when showing off around town.....they hold up well.

I changed over from Champion and couldn't tell the difference but still runs great and haven't fouled up at all.

i disagree, as i mentioned before any other plug i put in my 2054 stroker would foul after about a month of driving. the E3 never fouled once. there may not have been much in terms of butt dyno difference, but not having to pull the plugs and clean once a month was worth the extra price for me. to each their own i guess.

Due to my personal experience with E3'$, I wouldn't walk across the road for a set if they were stuffing the boxes with dollar bills!

About 2 years ago I bought a new set for my newly acquired 5.3 2000 Silverado with 109k on it. I removed the factory AC's which were running fine (duh), replaced them with the E3's along with replacing the plug wires, air filter, swapping to Mobile 1 oil, changed the diff and trans fluid at the same time. Truck ran great!

Fast forward about 7 or 8 months, my truck develops a periodic miss, maybe once a day, maybe once every 5 minutes....but would go days in between. Finally the miss became more frequent to the point it had to be fixed. I'm thinking there is no way it could be the plugs, these are the ever so great and expensive E3$...must be a coil!! Got a new coil, spent a whole day swapping coil from 1 cylinder to the next till the miss went away....ah hah! Few days later the miss started back, crap!!! another bad coil? repeat the process with another new coil.....miss goes away again for a few days. OK, now it cant be every coil!! Pulled the plug wires, checked resistance...perfect!
Pulled the plugs, looked fine, replaced them with some Autolites and that's been about a year plus ago, no misses since!!!

E3 plugs had about 5k miles on them but missed terribly!! Will never buy another E3....period!! and bash em every chance I get!

No better than the BS Splitfire plugs from the early 90's.

It's basic physics - electricity will take the shortest path to ground. Whether you have 1 electrode or 10, only one of them is getting a spark.

The exception might be if you have a setup that tends to foul plugs. Since the carbon would tend to build up on one electrode (the one getting the spark), once that one is fouled the spark will jump to the next closest.

Otherwise, I agree that it's expensive snake oil.

Like Gary said above, they remind me a lot of the old Splitfire things. Your coil is putting out the same to whatever plug you're running. Do you want it to be one nice, hot spark, or three weak ones?

My old boss wanted me to help him install a "hydrogen generator" he bought for his Volvo on some tinfoil-helmet-crystal-power website. "BURN 20% less gas!!!" He thought he'd found some automotive miracle technology that Detroit and Tokyo somehow managed to miss...

Give me a set of Autolite 26 for tapers or 145 for straight thread plugs. I have tried Bosch, NGK and others. I can actully feel the difference in lower performance motors. I had a Suzuki Samurai that I tried Bosch Platinums in. It actually felt slower. I put the old Autolites back in and could tell the difference. Since then, they all get Autolite.
