AD door hinge bolts

I can't be the only person that's encountered this, and the search function isn't a lot of help, so please help me out if you can. All I can find are complete cab bolt kits, but I don't need all those extras, just the hinge bolts.

I know they should be button head bolts, but I'd like to buy them as a set designed for his specific purpose to avoid multiple trips to the hardware store. Anyone got a part number?

Re: AD door hinge bolts

I have a 54 gmc. I didn't have a full set of the original bolts, for the doors. The few I have look like a standard bolt accept the heads are not as tall and have a slight dome shape. I have replaced them with 3/8-24 Standard bolts. I think button heads would look fine, I may change to them in the future myself.

Hope that helps
Good luck Shawn

Re: AD door hinge bolts

Jim Carter is just showing a 3/8 SAE bolt that has a low profile head and uses a star lock washer. http://www.oldchevytrucks.com/cart/p...47&i=9630|||||

These are on two 51 cabs I have:

The heads are about 1/4 inch thick rather than the thickness of a standard bolt head.
Fasteners might have the correct bolts and will have the star lock washers.

I looked for those things for almost an hour last night. Guess I gotta start using the computer, instead of my "smart phone"

They worked perfect.
