Re: What's your opinion on my engine color?

I think its on the edge as it sits. Maybe paint the balancer and thermostat housing a different color, but I certainly wouldn't add anymore blue parts...just my .02.

Re: What's your opinion on my engine color?

I think it looks good, but chrome valve covers and a few other chrome pieces would really set it off.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

I'd put a stock black air cleaner on that engine.

Re: What's your opinion on my engine color?

Put some POLISHED ALUMINUM stuff on it, ie... Valve covers, timing cover, water neck, pulleys... Other than that, if it matches the truck, looks great

My opinon is your going to need something to break up the blue... Chrome, Black, or Combo of both.

Re: What's your opinion on my engine color?

I like the color, but like most said, black or chrome to break it up, maybe black air cleaner, balancer and water neck. and if there's imprinting on the air cleaner and valve covers scrub some blue into the imprints!

But that color is great, was thinking of doing something similar when I rebuild mine in the next few weeks.

Re: What's your opinion on my engine color?

Holy crap! It's a bit much by itself. Would have left the valve covers & water neck a different color. It won't be too much once everything is buttoned up, but right now it's a lot.

Re: What's your opinion on my engine color?

the fins on the valve covers need to be silver/polished...cant tell, but are those aluminum? Also some polished stainless bolts would make it pop!

Re: What's your opinion on my engine color?

305 yes and that 750 is big but its not going to be her home

I was thinking of putting inbetween the fins on the valve covers. I'm going for a stock ish clean look under the hood of my stepper. The headers will be black and all the accessories will help break up the blue. I will do a chrome thermostat housing later which will help some

Do something with the valve covers, polish fins or paint them and add a chrome thermostat housing and your good to go.

I like the color. Once you do the other work you said it will look good. What do you think of it?

I'm with bruiser. Black will go a long way, especially since you want a factory look. Do what yezzi does under the hood and will look like a million bucks, no matter what color the engine is.

I'm going the full brand under the hood. I like the color and the way it looks but I'm waiting till its all together till I change much on the colors. I'm building my whole stepside to be a nice driver that you can work on With white gloves
