Re: Check Engine Light??
I threatened one of my customers that I was going to put a check engine horn in his conversion. I opted for bright under dash lights instead.

Re: Check Engine Light??
The worst would be the low air pressure buzzer out of a sterling semi truck. Ear splitting would be an accurate description.

I put mine in the "Brake" light at the bottom of the fuel gauge.

Re: Check Engine Light??
I'd run it to the Brake warning light as mentioned, or isolate it with a diode and run it to the high beam warning light. At least with that, if you're driving down the road and the high beam light should turn on out of nowhere, you know pretty much what's being communicated.

Re: Check Engine Light??
I didn't bother with a light.
If it quits running correctly I'll plug in the scanner.

Re: Check Engine Light??
I just didn't want to drill a whole in the cluster/bezel. So I used an existing space.
