Shim Question
Last weekend I scored a good deal on a set of Superlift 4" front springs for my 76 K10. Now I am trying to get my parts all lined up and I was wondering what ya'll recommend as far as a starting point for shims for the pinion angle on the front? Thanks

Re: Shim Question
Yeah, simple.......don't do it. No shims.
If you do, you will be back here asking how to fix it when it wanders all over the road. To which the answer will be.......(wait for it) Remove the shims. Tilting the pinion up "seems" like a good thing, but only for the driveline angle. At the same time it tilts the ball-joints forward, screwing up the caster of the front wheels. They will not "self-center" and the truck twitches, darts, and wanders around. It is very difficult to drive. Oh, while it's not likely with 4" springs, if there are already shims screwed to the spring packs, remove them.

Re: Shim Question
Yeah, and you don't have to fix it later either
You are welcome.
