need some new tires

I'm in need of a new set of shoes for my truck.... aka tires. I have 17" wheels and running 255/55/17 tires. That size, and the similar 255/50 series, isn't the most common so I'm limited somewhat by the manufacturers. The brand that I have on there are Kumho and I'm dissatisfied with their performance...... they wore out SUPER quick and I hardly even drive the thing. I know I want to switch brands and would appreciate some help. Falken and Nitto are possible choices. Anyone running either one of those, if so, what is the performance/wear of the tires.
