HEI disty wires

283 with HEI disty, completely new wiring harness. Do I need a wire from the starter up to coil? If so, hook to which post on starter and connected to which wire into the disty? Sorry for the stupid questions, starting problems have sucked my brains out!

No wire from the starter to coil. New 12v supply wire to Bat+ on the distributor. It should be labeled.

Thx for confirming my thoughts. Or at least what's left of my thoughts!

Use the spare fuse on the fuse panel at the bottom, it works off the key..

did this, works perfect. Be sure to not include the resistor wire if included with the new wiring kit. I just cut mine, but it still gets hot and I almost started my engine on fire.
