Quadrajet choke help
Having trouble starting my truck when the choke lever is positioned in the first photo (photo 1 no start), but not the second. The previous owner had a spring attached to the screw that holds in the choke cable which kept that part up (photo t 2 will start).
Am I missing a part? Changing the cable tension did not seem to help. Anything I can adjust, or should I get another spring (the other fell off)? Thanks |

Re: Quadrajet choke help
I would get the stock choke oven and rod and go back to an automatic choke. But if my memory serves me right... when the arm is up the choke blade closed and down choke blade open. Might be why a spring was there to help leverage the closing of the blade, there's not much angle on the cable for pushing up......
