73-80 guys

i just picked up a 78 GMC K35 that has a few decent parts on it. i am just wondering what they are worth before the drivetrain gets pulled and the ugly goes to the crusher.

core support is in good not rusty shape at first view.

the grille is there and not broken.

the front grille trim is ok. a few dings and dingy.

floor pan is really clean so far. no rust through on the floor or cab corners. the supports also look fine. not sure on the rest of it as it looks like in may have taken a hit in the front left fender area.

radiator appears to be brand new.

i bought it for the drive train, but if there are decent parts that could be saved i would be willing to do it, but it has to be worth it

Thanks for any help!

Re: 73-80 guys

I know you live closer to sources for rust free parts but if I was selling those parts I would ask $120 for the core support, the grille is a hard one b/c I hardly ever see any that I would consider selling, but if its nice it should be worth $40 or more. If the rest of the cab is as nice as the floor pan, I would try and get $300-400 for the bare intact cab. I usually get $50 for a good roof. If the doors are good, and they are OEM they should be worth about $200 complete with the glass, and regulators.

Re: 73-80 guys

Thanks!

the floor is good, i havent looked at the roof. i know now that it too a hit because i found the frame damage/repair. so i am pretty sure what i thought was damage to the cowl area on the DS is true. so i would be the cab is usable but would be better as patch panels.

ill know more as i dig in further
