POLL: 67-72 trucks with sliding back window. Yes or No?

My buddy keeps telling me that I need to add a rear slider to my 68 truck. I just can't seem to get it out of my head that I think of '73 + for any truck with a rear slider. I know they can be cool and all but I just don't see it in the 67-72 years. What do you guys think? Yay or Nay?

No kidding? I had no idea!!! That certainly changes things if it's a sought after option. Maybe I need to change the poll to sunroof...yes or no? lol

Re: POLL: 67-72 trucks with sliding back window. Yes or No?

I've got a slider in my 67 small window. It will be coming out as soon as it moves up on my to do list. It helps circulate air but i don't like the look on my truck at all.

No. The cabs are leaky and noisy enough without them.

See my spid. They were indeed an option. Will top post with a pic of the truck, not able to attach the 2nd pic for some reason. Since I don't have a/c I love my slider.

I voted yes as I plan to add it if the truck is ever finished (have a new one for it) ,and am looking for a good used one for my others (72 C30 AND 74 c10) .

Personally I like em, seems like a thing that belongs in our style trucks. I think they look good without too ... So basically, whatever floats yer boat =)

I only don't like them in a smooth and clean looking custom truck. I love them in C/20s & K/20s. We used to call them camper windows. I have had one that rattled because the guide fuzzy came out. Even that one never leaked water or air.

I agree with Special - K. If your truck is a custom or hot rod, leave the regular window. My C-20 didn't come with one, but the PO put one in and I love it! A friend of mine calls it the "beer window".

I think you guys both nailed it. If I had one of my old work trucks like the GMC custom camper, I'd totally like it.

<<<<<This!

I think they look at home on a C/K 20 or 30. NOT on a C/K 10 of any kind.

Re: POLL: 67-72 trucks with sliding back window. Yes or No?

My father in law put one in our truck around 1985 or 1986.

I like it but some times at shows I dont. These so called judges dont know anything about these trucks any ways and when I tell them they were an option they argue with me over it. But I do like it in the hot summer.

Re: POLL: 67-72 trucks with sliding back window. Yes or No?

I don't like how they look but I voted "yes" because I have come to believe that one should get every freaking option they can on any vehicle they buy. I wanted a factory moonroof so badly on my 2003 Honda Civic LX that I was planning on having a shop cut off the roof and weld on one from a wrecked EX. It would actually have been cheaper to just find a decent EX and buy the whole car! I'm a little OCD I think....LOL.

Re: POLL: 67-72 trucks with sliding back window. Yes or No?

I had one in my S-10 and K-20 back in the day. I like the look of the solid green glass but the functionality of the slider... i'm stuck on which way to go.

I do like the newer trucks like Titans and Tundras with large moving back windows.

I voted no, not because I don't like the way they look, but because of all the dirt and crap they seem to suck into your eyes and the cab when your cruising down the highway at 65mph.

I don't like them. They are ugly. I have one in my 78 and I have never not once opened it since I bought the truck. I would trade it for a flat glass window in a second.
