First Chevy..First V8...First Air ride install
Well here we go....
I placed an order for The full Porterbuilt treatment in April so it should be close to getting ready to ship. I placed an order with Michigan metalworks for some flat plate arms. They showed up on Friday of last week. Full Accuair Elevel Ilevel kit was ordered. Just waiting on the tank and I level module. I still didn't have a truck yet to put all these fancy parts on.... Until today Paid $700CAD for it.. Needs a bit of work but short boxes are in short supply so I jumped on it. I've never had a Chevy or anything with a V8 in it for that matter. DD is 2010 ford ranger and my other projects have been classic minis. Anyway pretty stoked and will probaby have a lot of questions for you guys. |

We can share grinding and welding stories by the camp fire! LOL
Both got some cancer to cure. Wish you luck, please wish me the same. I am a day ahead of you on mine, but I want to hot rod mine more then slam it. Lower, but not have to bag it.

Yeah I am addicted. I'll try to use the search first so there is less repetition. I will try to update as much as possible with pictures.

Re: First Chevy..First V8...First Air ride install
Anyone know which headers are preferred with the drop member? If I remember correctly these are the ones I need.

Re: First Chevy..First V8...First Air ride install
Well do you want to have Shorties or do you want long tube headers?

Re: First Chevy..First V8...First Air ride install
I didn't think long tubes would fit up under the frame.

Re: First Chevy..First V8...First Air ride install
If I do recall correctly the Chevelle long tube headers will tuck inside the frame.

Re: First Chevy..First V8...First Air ride install
unfortunately I have no idea about rims, that's going to have to be someone else to answer. What size are you trying run?

Re: First Chevy..First V8...First Air ride install
I really don't know, my suggestion is create a thread asking that specific question tell them what your trying to do, and the people here will be more than glad to help you man.

Re: First Chevy..First V8...First Air ride install
Porterbuilt is here! I was missing a few items so they are getting shipped out when they are ready. Six more work shifts then I am off for a month and can get moving on this and my other truck.

Built this waiting for room in the shop. Too much work to be done. No time for building toys yet. |
