71-72 grill plastic retainer removal
Anyone have any tricks for removing these from the little square holes without breaking the four sided tabs?

I stuck an awl or skinny punch into the hole, and just pried them out. Not a perfect way, several broke a tab or two.
These retainers are brittle and fragile after 40 years. Don't expect them all to come out intact. I purchased replacements from Classic Parts. |

Thanks guys, looks like I'm just gunna have to be patient. I was surprised to see these still in tact when I pulled the grill yesterday and I was wanting to save them but I guess if I break them I will just order them from Classis Parts
