Question NP203 questions

I just bought a 76 Blazer with the NP203. It will shift into low, low lock and neutral, but not high or high lock.... We drove it home with it in neutral (according to the shift plate... the lever was straight)... and the shifter only moves foward... you can't pull it back. Is this a linkage issue or something??

Also, has anyone done the mile marker conversion on these? The kit came with the Blazer and I was wondering how difficult it was to put in....

It could very well be a linkage problem. Spray a bunch of wd40 down into it and try to work it. Sometimes when they get worn they will act like that. I've never done he conversion myself but dont think its very hard.

That 203 shifter is notorious for that. they are JUNK. Discontinued from GM years ago. Usually, the time to clean it up & oil it does only temporary or NO good.

No body lift... she will have a nice suspension lift soon though.

I've got the shifter moving now... As soon as I finish the work to fix the floor pans, I'll start on doing the conversion. I'm hoping everything is in the kit, but I'll you know if I need the instructions, trukkers69.
