dash cluster wire decoding

I am building a custom dash cluster for my 72. Looking for some knowledge about the color coding on the plug for the dash cluster. The truck had a full gauge set minus the tach. Looking at the now cut off plug-in the wires are this, starting at top left, reading top to bottom: black with white stripe, dual tan wires, pink, single tan wire, blank, dark green; bottom:black, light green, light blue, dark blue, dual gray wires, and black again. I seem to understand from the wiring diagram that dark green is for temp gauge, grays are for lighting, light blue for left turn, dark blue for right turn, light green for high beam, and single tan wire for fuel gauge. My main concerns are for my volt gauge. But I have remaining wires with no understanding of what they are, black with white stripe, two different black wires, dual tan wires, and a pink wire. My custom dash consists of speedo, tach, fuel, water temp, oil pressure, voltmeter, and trans temp. So what can I discard from wire harness, and what do I need? Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.
