Brake System Identification
I'm planning on going through the brake system on my 85 C10 LWB. After looking into parts I realize J55-Heavy Duty Brakes on the service parts ID tag in the glove box doesn't match the JB5/JD5 etc listed for replacement parts. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Re: Brake System Identification
JD5 = hydraulic boost
JB5 = vacuum boost You are very likely JB5 (usually the confusion is between JB3 and JB5; JB3 being the "super" light duty, with 1" rotors). Here are the brake system release charts, if you would like to investigate further. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=510519 K
