Dash pad for '73
I'm in need of a new dash pad for my '73. Has anyone had experience with brothers or classic parts? Any recommendations? There are no junkyards around here so was wondering who has the best aftermarket pads? Any help would be great.
Thanks Sam |

Re: Dash pad for '73
I think most of the aftermarket dash pads are made but the same manufacturer, Brothers and Classic Parts are just vendors for the manufacturer. I got mine from a local place, and there was some fit issues on the thin section on drivers side, and the points where the plastic bezel screwed into it. Working with it I got most all the holes to line up.

I got the cheap one from brothers and I am not happy at all. It is wavy looking and the holes on the bezel did not line up good. I was hoping the wavy look would level out once it set in the sun but did not.

I'm trying to find someone locally to redo the dash but no luck so far. I do not want to put the cheap cover over it. If I have to buy a dash I want the padded dash.

I would also like to know what is the best replacement dash. Don't want to spend a fortune.

I have two dashes that needed work on my 82 and 86 trucks I went to Rayco and they gave me a nice cover for it ( plastic) but it looks and wears well
