ls swap into my c10 finally
Finally found a deal on a nice 5.7 ls1 backed with a t56 6 speed manual trans in a 2000 camaro. In the process of making the deal now but im going to go for it. I test drove the car today and he is going to pull the engine trans wiring clutch parts and whatever else I may need. He prefers to pull it himself which saves me a bit of work. He says he will label everything as he goes. Anything else I should have him save me off the car that will help me? And is there a good place to get most of my ls swap parts that I will need to install it into my 69 chevy shortbox.

Re: ls swap into my c10 finally
off the top of my head...(depending on your build) I'm not sure the camaro has all this
computers, tac module/pedal assembly, gas tank and pump/sender, gauges, possible fuse box, driveline?, shifter, hopefully, you'll get the alternator, a/c compressor, ps pump, starter, exhaust manifolds and the beginning of the down pipes including the front o2 sensors. depending on your state, perhaps the cats/etc. Rememb3r, all the extra stuff ADDS UP!!! Good luck, Wil

Re: ls swap into my c10 finally
I have an LS sitting in my garage just waiting for space to do the swap. If you do yours, maybe I'll get motivated enough to do more than look at mine.
Remember, if you're questioning the harness, you can always pick up an aftermarket harness for about $400-$600 depending on manufacturer.

Re: ls swap into my c10 finally
I kind of switched this thread to the lsx section of the forum now. He has decided to not remove the engine and trans now so i will hopefully be picking up the whole car next weekend. Very much looking forward to this build. I have wanted to do this for some time now. I will be trying to use as much as i can off of the car.
