Dumb Little Non-automotive Project

...And now for something completely different -

Here's a dumb little project I got roped into around the time the school year started.

The classrooms were re-arranged at my wife's school over the summer, mostly to reallocate the more desireable areas as office space. In a startling display of endorsement for my wife's position of importance she was moved from her "learning lab" to a small corner in the back of a storage room. Some of the storage shelves were repositioned for form a sort of a makeshift wall.

Trying to make the best of the situation I suggested "...hey, you could take those shelves and extend them across this opening here to make a 'secret passageway', like in the movies. I bet the kids would really get a kick out of that".

Notice the operative word in the above sentence was "you" - not "take" extend" etc of any of the other action words.

Well - guess who got contracted to do the work? Yep - Mr Motorhead/Motormouth here.

Anyway, I built the shelves up in my back garage and then transported them to the build site for final installation and staining.

I guess it was pretty magical when some of the smaller kids saw it for the first time.

K

Cool! I agree with INSIDIOUS '86, kids need to see what's possible.

Who knows. a few of those kids may be sharing this with their kids...

I'm kinda like duct tape- no real purpose, but handy to have around.
