Rust repair?

Wondering what thoughts are on the best way to repair my roacker rust?Make or buy a repair panel?

That doesn't look too bad. There are many out there that wished theirs were that good. Rocker panels aren't real expensive. How bad are the outer panels?

Outer has some surface rust,but I "think" it's solid.I'll investigate more tomorrow.This and the cab corners are the only cab rot.Thank god no patches/filler to tear into...

Cool, if the outer's are solid, you might not have to get too deep into it, and fix it with a couple small homemade panels.

Man! That is better than mine was! Outter Rocker, outer cab floor extension....if not front and rear floor sections if rust is spread.... good luck and have fun, there are maannyyyy threads out there,, videos as well!!

Put a rocker on it once you start cutting it out you will see why I am saying that. The rust has crawled underneath that rocker before it came to the outside where you could see it. Also on your patches you don't need the whole patch they send you, it is just a generality of what most need in that area. Cut out to where your metal is good but not a lot past it. Also use some weld through primer when preparing to put two panel together. This helps prevent corrosion. The spray version is good but after a very short period of time the tip will clog and the can will be useless and your out like $20 bucks. 1-800-usa-weld has some that brushes on and it is really good, and ask for a catalog they got some real neat stuff.
